This is the virtual home of Body-Mind Counseling Arts and House of Practice with Brian Kimmel, Dharmācārya Chân Liên Định, True Lotus Concentration, pronouns Dia/They, and anything with respect. Brian is a bridge-building, multicultural artist, counselor, and body-mind teacher with over twenty-five years of experience in health services including nervous system regulation, relationships, and the expressive arts. In 2021, Brian received the Lamp of Wisdom Transmission to teach in the Plum Village Tradition and was a longtime student of Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh.

Body-Mind

If you are starting a body-mind practice or interested in learning more and going deeper, Bk has 25+ years facilitating individuals and groups in engaged and embodied teachings to support you. An ordained student and teacher in Thich Nhat Hanh’s Plum Village Tradition, trauma-informed, multicultural, and originator of an holistic approach called Permissive Movement.

Counseling

I specialize in relationship-focused healing and transformation for individuals, polycules, couples and families of all relationship orientations, sizes, commitments, and styles. Over seven years as a licensed mental health counselor with training and professional experience in crisis prevention and intervention, attachment and trauma healing. I work in-person and virtually through video and phone from my office in Fremont, Seattle, the occupied lands of the Coast Salish, Duwamish and Suquamish.

Arts

Creative and performing arts is integral to everything I do. I care about the process of finding oneself in one's self, and finding one's self a part of the world. Music, dance and everyday creativity helps explore this intimate journey. Join me by attending and hosting events, purchasing my music, and contributing to the collective through creating and sharing your own conscious-raising works.
